Bernat Softee Chunky knitting pattern for girls knitted headband pattern

YARN:

  • Bernat Softee Squat Twists: Tawny Rosiness Pervert
  • Bernat Softee Chunky: Mushy Taupe

LEGWARMERS:

The pattern for these tin can be found in Shoemaker's last-Minute Knitted Gifts by Joelle Hoverson.  Such a fantastic book of account.  It's a basic knit whirlpool in the round practice using double pointed needles.

SCARF:

I used the Saami knit purl pattern for the scarf joint and just kept along knitwork until it was long enough to reduplicate o'er and tie round her cervix.

I accessorized it with cream felt flowers and pale pink buttons

HEADBAND:

I have a pile of very basic headbands that I've picked dormie over time in the $1 section at various stores.  I used one of these inside the knitted headband.  Operating instructions down the stairs:

Using size US.5 straight needles cast along 2 stitches.

Knit 20 rows.

Increase 2 stitches into the incoming quarrel (1 at to each one end)

Knit 2 rows.

Increase 2 stitches into the next rowing (1 at each death)

Wont the headband from this point as your guide and knitting until you touch the point where you motivation to lead off decreasing to match the increased English.

Decrease 1 stitch at each end of row

Pucker 2 rows.

Decrease 1 stitch at apiece end of row.

Knit 20 rows.

I made 2 of these exactly the same.  1 with the Tawny Rose Twist and 1 with the Soft Taupe.

Stitch the whole way along one side joining the two pieces together.  Sneak in the headband and stitch up the other seam.

Cut off 3 mat up flowers in assorted sizes and stitch them together in the center with a release.  Sew together your accomplished flower on to the headband.

Oh my gosh that is beautiful! I love it!

Did you make the felt flowers yourself or did you buy them some where?

Give thanks you :).

I did cut unfashionable the flowers myself. I bought some really yielding felt from Beverly's and drew around a peak attribute cookie cutter to make the large one, then cut out two smaller versions of that for the headband.

The flowers along the scarf I drew freehand on the felt and cut them out indeed each one is different.

Hey hon, I got them at Target quite an while ago … maybe back in the fall. I saw some cute brown boots at Marshalls a fewer weeks ago too. The reason I got the Target ones though is bc the ones I really wanted at Gymboree were a less expensive, simply these ones have lasted a while and she loves them.
